The pins were only available at the Vancouver Apple store and they were not available for sale anywhere. There is one single pin on a blue Olympic card. The pins not on white cardboard are iPod Nano style pins, also in original packaging and measure 17mm x 38mm (5/8" x 1-1/2"). The backs have ™2010 Apple, Inc. All shown have a butterfly clasp.

The bottom row on the right side shows a brand new authentic Apple iPad Olympic pin designed by Apple Inc. to promote the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. These 3 pins were issued in the UK on 8 July, the first day of the London 2012 Olympics, and only in very limited numbers. They were hard to get then and are highly collectible now.

The design is of an iPad, with the Union Jack flag filling the entire screen. The enamel pin badge is on a blue presentation card in the factory sealed plastic envelope. The Apple logo and details are printed on the back of the card. It has a butterfly clasp and is new and unopened.
There are 27 unused unopened 2010 pins plus the 2 individual British pins - total price is $490 CDN. All 29 are available only as a complete set - and that includes postage.

Extremely rare pin - Keep Your Lawyers Off My Computer

This is the infamous Fanged Apple, a design created in protest of Apple's lawsuit regarding graphical user interfaces (GUI) software. This 2.25" diameter button is in very good condition with all details crisp and clear. It was one of three released several years ago by a collector in California. It was his last one and they have become extremely rare. It is priced at $90CDN and that includes postage. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

Provenance: the former owner of this pin, a speaker at several Boston MacWorlds in the early 90's, says "I personally obtained this button from Richard Stallman outside of Lotus's offices in Cambridge, MA!"

"In 1989, Apple's look and feel lawsuit against Microsoft brought the idea of interface copyright to the attention of the programming community. Apple was trying to claim a monopoly over a broad class of graphical user interfaces. If Apple succeeded, not only Microsoft, but every software developer, would be legally compelled to design gratuitously incompatible software." In response, John Gilmore and Richard Stallman together commissioned the design of the "fanged Apple"–a button showing the Apple logo with vicious teeth. This was followed by an advertisement placed in The Tech, MIT's student newspaper, which in turn led to a protest rally at the HQ of Lotus Development Corporation--another "look and feel" lawsuit plaintiff."
