Apple Power Mac G3 Pentium II Chip on a Snail poster

Vintage Apple Power Macintosh G3 Pentium II poster featuring an Intel chip on a snail. This is an original 1998 Apple poster advertising the Apple G3 Power Mac. The poster is 27 inches wide and 22 inches tall with no tape, pin holes, creases or damage. The text on the bottom reads "Some people think the Pentium II is the fastest processor in the world. Not quite. The chip inside of every new Power Macintosh G3 is up to twice as fast." - then the rainbow bitten Apple and Think Different. This poster would have been originally sent from Apple to an Authorized Dealer/Reseller for promotion purposes - very few survive especially in unhung as new condition.

This hard to find iconic and ironic (Got Intel?) Apple poster is priced at $180 with insured mailing included - rolled in a heavy cardboard tube.

note: there is one at Vintage Apple Posters – The Missing Bite - for $280 USD. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

Rare Iridescent Apple 30th Anniversary Poster

This Apple poster has reflective graphic and text that shimmers with colors of the rainbow as seen from different angles. Poster measures 24x36 - not displayed or hung, no holes or tears. Click the photos for a larger view. Only saw one other since it was issued back in 2014 and never for sale anywhere. I took several photos in dappled sunlight to show the effect.

I do not know who this poster was distributed to as the standard 30th poster was for Apple employees (one of those is also available - click the 30th anniversary label below). Price is 240 USD and that includes insured postage in a heavy cardboard tube. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

Damaged Apple personal computers poster circa 1980

This rare original Apple poster measures 23" x 33" and the text is "personal computers apple" with a copyright of 1980. In the lower left corner is MSR# M30-0580 50K. It features the first official Apple logo designed by Rob Janoff in 1977.

Except for this photo it has never been hung or displayed -- however it arrived in the mail damaged with creases and small scratches all the way down just right of center. Sad but still frameable until you get something better... photos are on a larger white paper.

Prior to the first Macintosh and the switch to the Garamond font, Apple used a typeface called Motter Tektura alongside the Apple logo, and the bite was designed to fit the curve of the letter "a". This poster shows a large bitten rainbow apple logo that was in use from 1976 to 1998.

I hesitate to charge for this poster but will include it if you want in any poster collection you purchase with a value of $250 USD or more -- click the collection or poster label below.

Extremely rare pin - Keep Your Lawyers Off My Computer

This is the infamous Fanged Apple, a design created in protest of Apple's lawsuit regarding graphical user interfaces (GUI) software. This 2.25" diameter button is in very good condition with all details crisp and clear. It was one of three released several years ago by a collector in California. It was his last one and they have become extremely rare. It is priced at $90USD and that includes postage. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

Provenance: the former owner of this pin, a speaker at several Boston MacWorlds in the early 90's, says "I personally obtained this button from Richard Stallman outside of Lotus's offices in Cambridge, MA!"

"In 1989, Apple's look and feel lawsuit against Microsoft brought the idea of interface copyright to the attention of the programming community. Apple was trying to claim a monopoly over a broad class of graphical user interfaces. If Apple succeeded, not only Microsoft, but every software developer, would be legally compelled to design gratuitously incompatible software." In response, John Gilmore and Richard Stallman together commissioned the design of the "fanged Apple"–a button showing the Apple logo with vicious teeth. This was followed by an advertisement placed in The Tech, MIT's student newspaper, which in turn led to a protest rally at the HQ of Lotus Development Corporation--another "look and feel" lawsuit plaintiff."
