Apple and Cisco Reach iPhone Agreement

Both parties entered into settlement talks quickly. The agreement announced on 21-Feb-07 states that both parties recognize trademark rights that have been granted, and both can use the iPhone trademark on their products worldwide. Both Apple and Cisco will dismiss all legal actions against each other, and will work on interoperability, without any specific agreements.

Old Hard Drive…No Enclosure… No Problem

Newer Technology recently accounced their Universal Drive Adapter which allows old hard drives to be accessed without an enclosure. The adapter is simply a cable with a USB connection at one end, and IDE/ATA/ATAPI 40 pin or Serial-ATA terminals at the other end. Those terminals allow the adapter to interface with a wide range of 2.5″, 3.5″, or 5.25″ hard drives or optical drives including those found in laptop and desktop computers.

Apple update patches iChat, disk image flaws

AppleInsider - Apple Inc. on Thursday issued a security update that stomps out four critical flaws within its Mac OS X operating system, all of which were first revealed last month as part of the 'Month of Apple Bugs' project run by independent security analysts.

Still, the operating system remains an infrequent victim for malware hackers compared to Windows systems. Daylight Saving Time May Bite the Out-of-Date

This change means that any device which automatically changes its clock to match Daylight Saving Time, such as a VCR, either needs to be updated with new rules, or must have its clock changed manually on the affected dates. Apple included the new rules for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger in the 10.4.6 update.
