The flagship Apple stores aren't just a place to shop, but are entertainment destinations. It's the candy store of computing and entertainment, filled with Internet-connected and application-loaded machines, iPods and music. These will soon be joined by the long-awaited iPhone.
'You can surf the Web, you can check your e-mail, set up a video chat to someone back home,' Allen said. 'If you go into an Apple store, you will find lots and lots of people using the computers for one purpose or another, not necessarily exploring the computer for the purpose of a purchase.
