NOTICE: As of August 29, 2025 duties must be paid by the sender before items can be mailed to the United States. The duties must be prepaid and proof must be presented to Canada Post prior to mailing. The added import tax will be unknown until photos, a description and selling prices are submitted to U.S. Customs. This tariff tax must be prepaid and then added to the cost to the purchaser. Move All Your Stuff to a New Mac -- Quick - From Scott Kelby’s “Mac OS X Tiger Killer Tips”
Now, when it’s time to make the “big move,” just connect the two Macs with a FireWire cable, then go to your new Mac and look inside the Applications folder, then go to the Utilities folder, where you’ll find an application called Migration Assistant. Double-click on it and since it’s an assistant, it will lead you through a series of screens with questions about what you want to do.
