Caching YouTube etc... possible?
Caching YouTube etc... possible? - MozillaZine Forums
"Would it be possible to cache movies from YouTube and its clone sites in camino like it is possible for all the quicktime stuff? So if you click a link accidentally, and then click the back button, the movie would still be loaded? Or is there some flash magic involved that prevents this?"
scroll/read/scroll/read....
To play locally you will need the plugin Perian from http://perian.org/. Perian is a free, open source plugin for QuickTime that will let you play .flv and other non natively supported formats.
scroll/read/scroll/read....
This is one of the things that you can do in Safari pretty easily. Once you load the youtube page in Safari, you open the activity window (Window > Activity), drill down through the arrows and once you found the link that ends with .flv, which is the direct link to the file, you double click it. It'll open a new window but the file goes directly to the Downloads window.
Install Perian to let QuickTime playback the movie.

Apple - Pro - Tip of the Week
Faster Full-Name Viewing in List View
Here is a tip that will save you from having to resize your List or Column view columns — just hold your cursor over the file’s truncated name for a few seconds and eventually its full name will pop up. So what’s the problem? The “few seconds” part. Instead, hold the Option key, then put your cursor over the file’s name, and its full name will appear instantly.

Warholizer

Turn yourself and your friends into pop icons!
Choose a file on your computer to upload and then click the Create button and save to your computer.
While Andy picked Marilyn and Elvis, my choice was to Warholize the Tuesday Weld image shown here.
