Vintage 1997 ComputerWare Mac OS 8 promo T-shirt
ComputerWare
received Apple Specialist Authorization from Apple Computer in early
1997 for its dedication to the Macintosh platform. This is a
ComputerWare T-shirt promoting the launch of Mac OS 8 that was released
on July 26, 1997, shortly after Steve Jobs returned to Apple.
This is a new unworn, unwashed 100% cotton size Large Hanes Beefy-T with
fabric components made in the USA and assembled in Mexico.
July '97 is one of the more important periods in Apple history: Jobs becomes the de facto
chief of Apple in a boardroom coup and OS 7.7 segues to OS 8 thereby
killing the Macintosh Clone program as one of his first moves. This
shirt is a spot-on benchmark of the most game-changing turnaround in
Apple history. It even features a rare graphic of Anya Major, the
original non-iPod wearing runner in the iconic "1984" SuperBowl ad.
Finder also became a drill-down drag and drop wunderkind in
System 8 that continues today. This shirt is priced for the discerning
Mac collector at $50 with postage at cost. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel
